What is HIPP?
HIPP is the Texas Health Insurance Premium Payment (HIPP) program. HIPP helps families pay for private health insurance. It is a program for families with at least one person who gets Medicaid.
HIPP pays the insurance premium. This is the monthly cost for private health insurance. If you are on Medicaid, HIPP pays for your co-pays when you see Medicaid doctors.
If you are not on Medicaid, you pay your co-pays.
